QUALITY AND STANDARDS TRAINING FOR MEMBERS OF BULAMBULI FARMERS DISTRICT PLATFORM

On 16th July 2024, AGROREF visited members of the steering committee of Bulambuli District Farmers Advocacy Platform and issues surrounding strengthening the role of the platform to its members and farmers in general were discussed. During the meeting, the steering committee members mentioned that issues of quality and standards of agriculture products were affecting farmers and the food market system in Bulambuli District.  The committee resolved that strategic and focused sensitization for all agriculture value chain players in the district be enhanced to improve the quality of agriculture products. It is against this background that AGRROREF is organizing a sensitization and capacity-strengthening workshop on the quality and standardization of agricultural produce for Bulambuli District Farmers Advocacy Platform (DFAP) members. Bulambuli District Farmers Advocacy Platform is a formal establishment hosted by the Bulambuli District Local Government but owned and controlled by multi-stakeholders within the district’s agriculture value chain. The platform was established in 2022.
